The sands of time

Time’s playing games
And it seems I’m losing
It was right there
Wonder where it went
Wonder if it will return

Years gone by, in a flash
Hours turn to minutes
And minutes to moments
Moments, fly away…

Rushing by like that
You’d think it has a destination to reach
A deadline to meet
A race to win…

Does it have an end?
Did it have a beginning?

I’m trying hard to catch up,
Running, gasping for breath
But it never slows down,
The closer I try to get,
The more I lag behind

And I’m losing
Against time...

after a long time...beautiful lines u wrote

maybe become like a long distance runner....slow n controlled...pushing only when it is required...not exerting much

everyone has to run dis race

@anuj: I dont want to beat it... but I want to run at the same pace so I dont lose sight of it...

nice poem,
when for the first time we buy the watch in the pic we think;we r going to capture the time unaware of the fact that we have been captured ourselves already.

From a song:

As we are rushing life,
Life is rushing by.

Time doesn't really go anywhere, though it never seems to run at pace you want it to. Maybe the trick is to follow the rhythm time sets and not what we want, like not fight it but go with the flow. Or maybe it's just time for a hot chocolate fudge!

amateurish, but nice!

@MS: Wel said...i guess between us and time, we dont know who's chasing whom...

@keshi: Aw hny, as they say, 'time' heals all!! take care

@First rain: I dont want to fight it, I want it to accompany me as I tread the path of life...wht the heck, i think i'll grab that HCF now! ;)

@vivek: Thnx fr visiting! :)

Lovely write! well the best way to beat time is to take good rest. Ride in, Ride on, Ride out? ;)

'tis a game aftrall-so take it in ur stride n live evry moment-dont worry abt de consequences coz ultimately u either win de race or u lose it-n de result hardly matters, right?

Whenever I read something about time, I always remember this lines

Time Time Time
You old Gypsy
Won't you put your caravan down
And rest, just for one day?
